Friends of African American Art members are invited to a special reception before the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Freedom Celebration with photographic artist Sheila Pree Bright. Based in Atlanta, Bright's recent work draws parallels between today's protest movements and those of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. Following the reception, the artist will discuss her work in a public lecture titled 1960Now: Social Justice Movements, Past and Present. We hope you will join us.

Registration is required. RSVP before January 12 to 314.655.5390 or collectors.circle@slam.org.
