Reframing Black Citizenship: Civil Rights Images and Frozen Ideals

with Rebecca Wanzo, associate professor of women, gender, and sexuality studies and associate director of the Center for the Humanities, Washington University in St. Louis

Friends of African American Art members are invited to a special program with Rebecca Wanzo. Using images produced during the Civil Rights era, Dr. Wanzo will discuss the struggle for civil rights and the strategic use of visual representations to promote full citizenship for African Americans.

Museum garage parking is complimentary for Beaux Arts Council, Sponsor, and Associate Members, and $5 for all other Members. Parking is also available on the surface lots overlooking Art Hill. Please enter the Museum through the new East Building.
